Great big Baja, little tiny us

Paddlers on this trip were Mike Higgins, Kate DesLauriers, Don Fleming, Doug Hamilton, Andrea Wolf, and Herb Howe, the same group that paddled from Santa Rosalia to Loreto in March-April, 2007. Mike has an extensive writeup and lots of photos of the Isla Carmen and Monserrat parts of the trip.

Doug, Don, Herb and Andrea drove to Loreto with all boats and gear. Mike and Kate flew and met us in Puerto Escondido. The first week we paddled around Isla Carmen. After a quick resupply at Puerto Escondido, we then spent another six days paddling around Isla Monserrat and back up the coast to Puerto Escondido. Mike and Kate then flew home while the rest of us drove to LA Bay where we spent four relaxing days visiting the islands and camping on Isla Coronado (aka Isla Smith) and on Isla Ventana.
